How to save yourself from lightning when the storm hits?
Florida is also known as “The Lightning Capital of North America” as lightning is so common in the state that it can hit anywhere anytime. Lightning can’t strike in the storm; it hits 10 miles away from it. So, if you hear a thunderstorm, better get inside. Though the threats could still be possible, so it’s necessary to take care of a few things even if you are inside your house:
- Avoid taking shower
- Don’t talk on a landline phone
- Don’t charge your cellphone by plugging it into the wall as lightning can pass through wires as well.
