About WDKY TV
WDKY TV first hit the air as an independent entity on 10 Feb 1986. The network’s original owner was John D. Backe. Since its inception, WDKY 56 and WLKT (the independent service) have constantly battled each other for airing the best programming, movies, and even Independent Network News. WDKY TV became Fox’s charter affiliate on 9 October 1986.
Currently, however, WDKY TV works as the -owned network under the affiliation of Fox network. WDKY TV has studios situated in the Chevy Chase neighborhood of Lexington on Euclid Avenue. Whereas, the network’s news services are produced by a Gray Television-owned CBS affiliate WKYT News at Winchester Road.
