Gina Bullard: Morning News Host at Channel 5 News KCTV
Gina Bullard is a morning news personality at KCTV. She became a part of the channel eight years ago, in January 2013. Bullard covered many major incidents during that time and reported accurate pieces of information to the Kansas community. She has been honored with several awards and accolades for her remarkable work in journalism, i.e., Vermont Rising State by Vermont Business Magazine in 2012 and Emmy Nomination for Best Morning News Service 2019.
Gina did her Bachelor’s in Communication and Media Studies with a major in Political Science from Eastern Connecticut State University in 2007. Right after completing the education, Gina Bullard started an internship at WFSB News in 2007. Later, in the same year, Gina became a Women’s Design at J. Crew. After three years, in January 2012, Bullard began her professional journalism career as an Anchor at The:30 show in WXAC News. The show was about a discussion and in-depth interviews with famous personalities in
Vermont. In July 2010, Gina was promoted to News Reporter, and in February 2016, she became a Lifestyle Anchor and Morning Anchor in the same channel. After giving her 7.6 precious years to WCAX and gaining a well-reputation in Journalism, Bullard finally joined KCTV as an Outdoor Journal Correspondent in January 2013. Later, she was promoted to Better Kansas City Host and Traffic Anchor in December 2016. Ultimately, Gina became Morning Anchor in KCTV/KSMO/Meredith Corporation in December 2016.
Storm Track 5 Weather Team
KCTV Weather services are managed by the area’s one of the fantastic weather teams, Storm Track 5. Their weather anchors & reporters are brimming with talent and skill. Storm Track 5 Team is admired and trusted by Kansas’s people for accurate weather reporting and forecast. Under the management of Chief Meteorologist Gary Amble, the team constructs and implements new plans to create weather content effectively. Plus, it is also responsible for producing severe weather plans.
Brett Anthony: Weather Reporter at KCTV Weather
Brett Anthony is an excellent weather journalist at Channel 5 Weather Kansas City. He joined the team of meteorologists Storm Track 5 as Weekend Evening Anchor in October 2017. Anthony has reported many severe weather incidents in town, including Storms, Tornados, Ice storms, and blizzards. Brett did his graduation in Meteorology in 1997 from Western Kentucky University. In September 1999, Brett Anthony joined WOIO/WUAB as a Weekend Weather Anchor. After serving the channel for three years and two months, Brett began to work as a meteorologist at KSHB News in October 2002. Seven years later, in September 2013, Antony decided to join EW Scripps as a weather reporter. Ultimately, Brett became a full-time meteorologist at Kansas City’s KCTV/KSMO and Meredith Corporation.
