Collin was also responsible for managing, organizing, and updating valuable information collected from various sources, as well as immediately delivering the severe weather events to the viewers. Oreskovich tried multiple jobs after leaving the KEYC TV Mankato before finally ending up at Novel Energy Solutions as a Solar Consultant. He joined the company in September 2019.

It was later purchased by United Communications in 1977 after being possessed by Lee Enterprises for 17 years. Lee had to sell the channel because of the restrictions being imposed by the FCC. For so long, KEYC 12 was owned by United Communications, until Gray Television decided to purchase the entire United Communications franchise in February 2019, which placed KEYC under the ownership of Gray Television automatically.

At the moment, the company provides 162 TV channels in 103 US markets. KEYC News 12 first hit the waves on 5 October 1960. The first show was a World Series game From the NBC. KEYC 12 was originally initiated by Lee Enterprises. It wasn’t a year until KEYC TV Mankato decided to switch its affiliation decided to switch from NBC to CBS. CBS Mankato works alongside a low-powered station KMNF-LD CH 7 that is affiliated to NBC/CW+. They both operate from the same Studios in North Mankato’s Lookout Drive. Meanwhile, the KEYC transmitter can be found near Lewisville, Minnesota. Charter Spectrum viewers can watch the station’s primary CBS transmission on CH 10, whereas the viewers from Consolidated Communications can have the feed at CH 12.
