Brittany Bade: Anchors/Reporter at KRQE News
Brittany Bade is a news anchor at KRQE News who joined the squad in June 2017. She conducts a news program at 9 pm and 10:30 pm as an anchor on sibling network Fox New Mexico. Moreover, Bade also conducts a report for the 10 pm newscast on KRQE News. She loves to explore Kansas and, meanwhile, you can find her running, hiking, and skiing in different areas of KRQE News. Brittany Bade completed her BA in Media Studies and Mass Com in 2015 at Arizona State University, Walter Cronkite School of Journalism and Mass Communication.
Bade’s Career
In June 2015, Brittany joined WBIR CH 10 News as a Fill-in Anchor and News Reporter, before she became a part of KRQE News. Her duties include managing a temporary anchor position, conducting multimedia journalism at 4 pm, 5 pm, and 6 pm programs, as well as writing stories, posts, and social media content for the channel’s official website and social media pages.
In June 2014, Balde became a Multimedia Journalist at Cronkite News and worked there for 1 year and 4 months. While working there, she was responsible for covering national stories that matter to Arizona, providing stories regularly, and working alongside high-profile personalities across the nation.

Moreover, Brittney completed a 4 months internship at NBC4 LA as an internship. While doing an internship Bade was responsible for creating stories at the station’s official website, writing scripts for the morning news program of the NBC4 known as Today in LA, and covering national-level stories such as deadly Venice Beach Lightning Strikes, immigration demonstration in Murrieta, California, and UCLA’s massive flooding.
In January 2014, she became a reporter and anchor at Cronkite News for 5 months. As an internee, she covered events as they took place, constructed a charming relationship with Valley PIO’s, compiling a couple of A-class stories for The Arizona Republic, worked together with the KPNX 12 News’ assignment desk, and created more than 150 blog articles for azcentral.com. Prior to that, Brittney did two internships as a News Intern at Know99 Television in August 2013 and Fox 5 San Diego in May 2013.

Erica Meyer is a weather anchor and reporter at KRQE Weather who joined the team in September 2019. Over the years, Meyer served the audience with the best weather knowledge. She took her degree in Meteorology at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign in 2015. Erica was passionate about meteorology since she was in elementary school. She always loved tornadoes, storms, and clouds. Keeping this passion intact, Meyer joined the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign in order to achieve her dream. During her study years, Erica Meyer also went on a 2-weeks long field trip in the Plains along with her classmates. It was, however, the first time that she witnessed a dust storm, dust devils, supercells, and a tornado.

Prior to joining KRQE Weather, Meyer was a Meteorologist at
where she used to conduct weekend weather reports as a Weekend Evening Meteorologist. She worked there for 3 years and one month. Furthermore, from July 2015 to August 2016, Meyer served KNBN Newscenter1 as a Weekend Meteorologist and Reporter.Before that, she was a weather intern at WCIA TV from June 2015 to June 2015. In January 2015, Erica became an Independent Study: Weather Reporter at Richmond Studio. Even though she served there for only 5 months, Meyer conducted a lot of responsibilities in the studio. She had a chance to showcase her skills by conducting an independent study along with John Paul. It was integral for her to conduct reporting duties at the entry-level.
