Kori Johnson: Anchor/ Reporter at KSLA News
Kori Johnson is an anchor at KSLA Shreveport who started working at the channel as a First Alert Desk Anchor in July 2021. Johnson has an impressive history of working in broadcast media for years. Kori is also a part of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc, and the . Johnson loves working here in Shreveport and conducts such stories that are important to the community. When not reporting, Kori goes to new restaurants in the area, watches movies, paints, and enjoys spending time with her family. Kori earned her degree in Communications with a 3.6 CGPA at Duquesne University in 2018.

Prior to KSLA News 12, Johnson was a Weekending Evening Anchor and reporter at WCTI TV 12/ Fox 8/14 from January 2019 to May 2021. When working there, Kori reported on multiple community stories and covered several interviews. She wrote and edit scripts filed all stories, compiled news articles on the web, created/hosted weekend morning telecasts, and produced content for other digital platforms as well. From August 2018 to October 2018, Kori was a host at Duquesne Athletic Department. The channel had a weekly segment called Court Time with Kori where she used to interview teammates or special guests and talk about the court performance of the current games, past games, and upcoming games.
In June 2018, Johnson joined WBBM as a Sports Intern. Before that, she did an internship at KDKA News for 4 months from February 2018 to May 2018. While at that, Kori conducted post-game interviews, helped reporters during live matches, covered man-on-the-street interviews, and analyzed digital platforms in the search of top stories. John was a Social Media Intern at Catholic Charities from October 2017 to March 2018. At Catholic, she was learning modern ways of outreach to the community by working directly under the Director of Youth Outreach and Digital Media Strategist. Kori took the start of her career at New Pittsburg Courier as an Intern in August 2017.

KSLA team of meteorologists keeps a keen eye on the area’s weather transmission. It covers the weather of different areas in Lousiana and some parts of Texas including Bossier City, Shreveport, Mansfield, Springhill, Vivian, Blanchard, and Texarkana. In addition, the KSLA weather team consists of talented meteorologists who are always ready to face climate situations in the area. They analyze the large quantity of data collected by KSLA weather radar carefully and produce accurate weather predictions. They understand their viewers and provide them with the information that really matters. While delivering the forecast, they go through the difficult task of choosing the right computer model and select the one which has the best chance of success.
Andrew Brightman: Meteorologist at KSLA Weather
Andrew Brightman joins the team of KSLA Shreveport in August 2019. He has earned a board of certification from the American Meteorological Society and reported on all types of weather. Either, there is a strong triple-digit heat or a 15 degree dropped blizzard, Brightman is no stranger to either. Moreover, he has also witnessed a grapefruit-sized hailing and the worst tornado outbreaks of history. Brightman is a sportsholic, football is the most important thing in his life. He loves to cheer the New England team. Furthermore, Andrew takes part in outdoor activities and loves to discover the ArkLaTex. He also loves to play a game of golf. Andrew Brightman is a graduate of Emerson College and Penn State University which is completed in 2014 and 2017 respectively.
After completing the education, Brightman joined Comcast as a Brand Ambassador in 2013 and worked there for almost a year. Meanwhile, he was also working as a Guest Service Representative at Boston Duck Tours, LP. He left that job also after one year. Furthermore, in 2017, Andrew started a position as a Meteorologist at CBS News Channel 5 in September 2017 and after serving the station for 2 years left it for Channel 12 Shreveport.

KCMC was launched just 5 months before the CBS Shreveport (KSLA News). KSLA News Shreveport studios are in Central Shreveport on Daashiel Street and Fairfield Avenue.
