About NBC Watertown

NBC 45 Watertown is working under the ownership of SagamoreHill Broadcasting, (SagamoreHill of Watertown Licenses, LLC). Moreover, the television station initially started its services on 1st December 2016 with facility ID 188838. The licensing authority of Local WVNC is the Federal Communications Commission (FCC).

On 28th August 2016, FCC approved the transfer of control of a low-power digital TV license in Watertown, W45EI-D. It transferred from Sunrise, Florida-based DTV America Corporation to SagamoreHill Broadcasting LLC. The new owners prompted retitled the channel WVNC-LD and signed it to an affiliation agreement with NBC. Before the deal of WVNC-LD, North Country cable systems received wither WPTZ or Syracuse, based on the location. Previously, WWNY TV had a secondary affiliation with the TV network until 1995. WSTM-RV, WVNC-LD, and WPTZ are still available on cable.
