About WBRC TV
WBRC 6 News first hit the air on 1 July 1949 under the calls WBRC at Virtual CH 4. The station’s original owner was Birmingham Broadcasting Company, owned by Eliose D. Hanna; it also happened to co-own a radio network WBRC Radio. WBRC News was maybe the first TV network to succeed in getting a license by FCC, but it was the second oldest TV media in Alabama state, launching the services just one month later to WAFM-TV CH 12. From 1949 to 1954, the station remained a primary NBC affiliate partner but then moved to CBS after NBC closed the gates for WRBC News.

Presently, the station operates under the affiliation of Fox network as Fox6 News Birmingham and uses the name Gray Television. Casey Fambro is serving the Fox6 News Birmingham since April 2020 as a multi-media journalist and reporter. She has been doing reporting job for around 10 years now. Casey started her career first as a print journalist and then eventually switched to broadcast journalism. She mostly covers local government, educational matters and have a special liking towards military and law enforcement stories.
Fambro completed the degree in BA Communications & Media Studies from University of South Alabama in 2013. However, she started earning a living in 2009 as an associate in Booksamillion. In 2011, Casey became a Public Relations Intern at University of South Alabama. After that, she got an offer from Lake Norman Citizen for the position of Editorial Associate in July 2017.
