What Happened to Amanda Post on Erie News Now?

Nothing happened to Amanda Post, she is still a part of Erie News Now providing her services to both WICU News as well as WSEE News as an anchor. She covers the Noon News on WSEE and the 12:30 newscast on WICU. She is a part of the station since 2001. Post graduated from high school and later became a part of Re-Creation, the company that produces music and dance shows for VA Medical Centers. She traveled all around the country for more than 2 years where she visited more than 48 states. After ending her tour, she started studying at Edinboro University and Susquehanna University where she obtained a degree in Elementary education. Ten 10 years later, she was serving as an educator at the Union City Area School District.

Matson spent her first two years with Mark Soliday producing the morning show when she started her career at the station. However, she wasn’t happy about leaving the morning crew but felt excited at the same time when she got a chance to shine as a reporter.

While delivering her general assignment reporting tasks, she was more attracted to the crime beat since the first day of her job. She was also passionate news breaking news and claimed the Outstanding Spot News Award from the Pennsylvania Association of Broadcasters. Viewers can see Matson on the anchor desk at 7 pm and 11 pm. She conducts a 7 pm show with John Stehlin highlighting the trending stories of the day. Then, she carries Erie’s No. 1 nightly newscast along with Mike Ruzzi. Erie News Now started airing its first telecast on 24 April 1954. Erie Times-News’ publisher Mead Family was the original owner of the channel. Both WSEE and WICU used to air ABC programming until WJET News hit the air in 1978. Three years later, the suffix -TV was added to WSEE, making it WSEE TV.
