WTLV 12 News Overview and a brief history

Channel 12 started its services on 1st September 1957 using the Facility ID 65046 as WFGA-TV. Florida-Georgia Television Company founded the TV station. On 16th December 1971, the channel changed its call letters to WTLV live stream. After the FCC legalized TV station duopolies on 15th November 1999. The next day, the Albritton Communications Company announced that it would sell WJXX to Gannett, establishing a duopoly with WTLV.

At present, WTLV 12 broadcasts 29.5 hours of locally produced newscasts every week. Moreover, the channel produces the program “First Coast News Sports Final” every Sunday. It started producing the first hour-long evening news program of the marker when Harte-Hanks acquired it in 1975. On 1st February 2010, WTLV live stream became the 3rd and last TV news operation in the city to start broadcasting their local newscast in HD.
