WTTV 4 News is an American CBS affiliate news entity providing services to Bloomington/Indianapolis, Indiana. The channel works under the possession of Nexstar Media Group. Indianapolis News Channel 4 works alongside with WXIN News in the form of duopoly. The Bloomington-licensed channel offers local news, Crime Tracker, National & Community News, Political debates, Community Heroes Strategic Wealth, Strategic Wealth, Hoosiers Finding Hope, Indy Justice, Remarkable Women, and NewsNation Now. Its weather section includes WTTV Radar, Forecast, Watches & Warnings, Camera Network, School Closings & delays, and Your Weather Pics. The network’s sports coverage includes The Big Game, Friday Night Fast Break, Colts Blue Zone Podcast, and Big-Time Sports.

WTTV News can be watched on various local cable networks, including Xfinity, Spectrum, and AT&T U-Verse, via WTTV live stream. The network doesn’t own a separate website, thus shares its digital content with WXIN News’ website. CBS 4 Indianapolis uses “Your News Now” for both its branding and newscast.

WTTV TV produces 25.5 hours of locally produced news telecast every week. It includes 4.5 hours on Monday to Fri, 1 hour on Sat, and 1.5 hours on Sunday, including the IN-Focus show broadcasting at 8:30, am. Upon forming a duopoly with WXIN, the network started taking news content from Fox 59 but later decided to create its own separate news base with separate WTTV news anchors. Debby Knox and Bob Donaldson are the popular anchors and hosts at CBS News Indianapolis.

About WTTV News

WTTV News hit the waves for the first time on 11 November 1949; its original CH number is 10.  It was the 2nd TV network to start broadcasting in the Indiana market, signing on after 6.5 months of WFBM-TV (currently WRTV) that aired in May 1949. However, WTTV 4 is considered to be the oldest continuously running TV channel because WRTV News had to cut off its transmission for a long time due to the transmitter failure situation right after WTTV launched its operation in the region.

CBS 4 Indiana polis originally used to work under the affiliation of NBC as a primary network and DuMont DuMontDuMont is an American Television Network and one of the pioneer world’s commercial television network, founded back on 28^th June 1942. and ABC as secondary service. However, at that time, it also used to take content more often from CBS. Currently, WTTV News operates at CH 4 under the name of Nexstar Media Group. Plus, it has CBS as a primary affiliate partner and Comet and Independent as a secondary.
