Before joining the Freedom Skydiving Demonstration Team as a Team Captain in 1982, Willet used to own Free Flight Aviation company in 1981; he used to have a work responsibility of Operator, Jumpmaster, and Instructor in that. Jared began his professional career in Journalism in 1990 when he joined Willets Broadcast Services as a Voice Talent.
Later, he found himself working for Adergy, LLC as a Voice Talent. Currently, Willet serves WEAR ABC 3 as a Morning News Anchor; he joined the team in January 1995.

About Channel 3 Pensacola FL
The station first hit the air on 13 January 1954. The network was established by Mel Wheeler and Charles Smith, who also happened to possess WEAR Radio. It used to be a CBS affiliate service. Currently, it operates under the name of Sinclair Broadcast Group and affiliation with the ABC network. It forms a duopoly with WFGX MyNetWork CH 35. Moreover, Sinclair also manages WJTC CH 44 and WPBI-TV NBC CH 44 under and LMA together with the ownership of Deerfield Media.
Both WEAR TV and WFGX share the same studio location (that also contains a Control Room and some operations for WJTC and WPMI) in an unincorporated Escambia County, Florida, on Mobile Highway. The station’s antenna is installed in an unincorporated region of Baldwin, Alabama. Cable viewers can watch the channel on Cox, Mediacom, and Comcast Xfinity on CH 3.
