WICZ news started its services in November 1957 as WINR-TV. It was the second TV network to hit the air in Binghamton. WICZ-TV originally belonged to , based in Rochester. Currently, it is Cox Media Group-owned service working under the affiliation of NBC together with a low-powered sibling channel WBPN-LP CH 10; its transmission simulcasts in HD at WICZ-TV’s 2nd digital substation.
